Elaine was born and raised in Chicago where she attended Loyola University. She began her real estate career in Coral Springs, Florida before finding her niche in the world of hospitality management, including a 5-year stint at a British Virgin Islands resort. Upon returning to the US she continued with hotels in the greater DC Metro area, eventually owning and operating her own restaurant in suburban Maryland. Her interests included founding the non-profit Friends of Discovery Village which focused on raising student awareness of the Chesapeake Bay through partnerships with the ChesapeakeBay Foundation and the Maryland Watermen's Association.
On moving to St. Johns County in 2005, (no more ice and snow!) Elaine returned to her first love - the real estate industry. Specializing in St. Johns County residential sales also allows her to continue her non-profit involvement, serving on the Board of Directors of Learn to Read St. Johns and volunteering with South Woods Elementary School and St. Francis House.
